Senior Manager – Operational Risk & Compliance

About the role

ANZ is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Operational Risk and Compliance across its Pacific footprint. You will act as a trusted advisor to business units in multiple island nations, helping them meet regulatory obligations and strengthen governance.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with country Heads of Compliance, Chief Risk Officers and other senior stakeholders.
• Guide Pacific teams on the implementation and adherence to the Non‑Financial Risk (NFR) framework, focusing on regulatory risk, obligations management and business continuity.
• Coordinate and deliver Group NFR initiatives, ensuring Pacific participants are enabled and outputs meet quality standards.
• Conduct ongoing review and challenge activities to provide insights on NFR framework understanding and compliance across the region.

Required profile

• Significant experience in non‑financial risk, regulatory risk management or compliance within a banking or financial services environment.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and work across diverse cultures and jurisdictions.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with a track record of delivering high‑quality risk assessments.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of regulatory risk, obligations management and business continuity planning.
• Familiarity with the ANZ Non‑Financial Risk (NFR) framework and related governance processes.
• Ability to develop training and guidance material for risk and compliance topics.
