Senior Manager Operational Risk & Compliance

About the role

As a Senior Operational Risk & Compliance Manager in ANZ’s Pacific Risk team, you will act as a trusted advisor to the Pacific business across multiple countries, helping to strengthen regulatory risk management, obligations management and governance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with country Heads of Compliance, Chief Risk Officers, business governance and control teams, and Group stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on the implementation and adherence to the Non‑Financial Risk (NFR) framework, focusing on regulatory risk, obligations and business continuity/crisis management.
• Coordinate and deliver Group NFR initiatives, ensuring Pacific teams are aware of requirements, enabled to complete tasks, and that outputs meet quality standards.
• Conduct ongoing review and challenge activities to assess understanding and compliance with NFR framework requirements across the Pacific.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in non‑financial risk, regulatory risk management, compliance or operational risk.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence and advise diverse stakeholder groups.
• Proven ability to design and execute complex review work and manage priorities effectively.
• Proactive, persistent, and highly structured approach to delivering work as a senior team member.
