Painter (Part‑Time) – Hospitality Maintenance

About the role

The Painter will join the facilities team at a Marriott property in Fiji, providing high‑quality paint finishes for walls, ceilings, furniture and other surfaces. This part‑time position involves preparing surfaces, applying finishes and ensuring a safe, clean work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, primers and sealers using brushes, rollers or spray guns.
• Prepare surfaces by stripping, sanding, wire‑brushing or abrasive blasting.
• Cover and protect areas during work and post appropriate signage.
• Clean and store tools and equipment after each job.
• Coordinate with vendors to adjust colors or finishes as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies and report hazards.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school qualification.
• At least 1 year of related painting experience.
• Open to Fiji citizens only.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Paint application using brushes, rollers and spray guns.
• Surface preparation techniques such as sanding, stripping and abrasive blasting.
• Use of primers, sealers and finish coats.
• Safety compliance and proper handling of painting materials.
