Room Ready Maintenance Associate

About the role

This position is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces at a Marriott property in Fiji. The role ensures rooms are clean, well‑maintained, and ready for guests, following Marriott’s standard guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as flipping mattresses, vacuuming, deep‑cleaning carpet, dusting, and bathroom sanitation.
• Maintain and repair room fixtures, replace light bulbs, patch wall holes, and address minor repairs like tightening toilet seats.
• Inspect grout, caulking, and appliances to ensure they are in working order and report any serious issues to a supervisor.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, including reporting accidents and completing required safety training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of related work experience; no supervisory experience required.
• Open to Fiji citizens only.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and stooping.
